The roots of what was to become Lucinda & Co. began in the coastal mountains of Northern California, where from earliest of memories, a love of nature and inspired creativity became a life long passion. Becoming a self-taught artist and woodworker, Lucinda pursued these paths into the business world with a desire to both share and inspire that world of nature and art.
As the family grew, the children also learned these skills and in times of need both grandparents and friends also helped with the business. Each pieces remains unique and carefully handmade, using natural materials hand gathered with care and respect for the natural world.
Along with making whimsical and functional houses, Lucinda is an accomplished artist, photographer and writer. She has written a book, “Enchanting Woodland Birdhouses”, which includes 13 do-it-yourself projects, in her character style. This book is now out of print but still found on the internet.
